Clothing

Everyone:

Please avoid wearing clothing with writing on them such as logos and characters. When choosing attire for family photos, try to remain in the same color palette. Also, keep in mind that these photos may be displayed around your home and on your walls. You may want to color cordinate with the decor of your home. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE bold colors, just keep in mind these will be in displayed in your home...

Babies:

In my opinion, the best photos are the ones of them in their birthday suits. Newborn pictures should be done within the first two weeks of life but even sweeter if done the first week of life when they are still very sleepy and in the fetal position...Feel free to bring diaper covers, gowns, bonnets, booties etc...Anything sentimental to you! For parents, I recommend bringing long-sleeve black shirts for family photos. I also LOVE to do skin-on-skin shots of baby with mommy & daddy. So if you choose, we can do some shots with material or a tank. these are the sweetest by far! Newborn sessions may take 2-3 hours due to allowing time for feedings and getting the baby to snooze! Patience is the key to these shots...They will not be this tiny again :( I also love baby leggings & knit hats for the first year of life! I have a few to share!

Children:

Cute accessories like knit hats, scarfs, pettiskirts, fur hats, tights, rainboots etc...Anything BRIGHT! They are always fun and can add a touch of whimsy to the photo! Once again, keep siblings within the same color palette, but AVOID dressing them exactly alike. I love to mix patterns & bold colors for a fun photo...afterall, they are a kid! If one child has on a patterened outfit, have the other wear something solid with a colorful hat or scarf to coordinate...Feel free to bring any props that are special to your little one( toy, teddy or blankie.) I have many candid shots of my kids with their favorite toy....so sweet! (Some of my favorite clothing for children are Baby Gap, Abercrombie Kids, Gymboree, Matilida Jane, etc...)

Maternity:

You want to capture the beauty of your growing belly! Consider wearing un-zipped blue jeans with black or white tight fitting shirt...button downs or tanks work great! Sports bra, yoga pants & material works great too! It's just a matter of what you are comfortable with. We can show as much skin as you want or we can do a few simple shots with no skin showing at all. It's all your choice! The best time to schedule is around 32 weeks. We certainly want to show that baby bump, but do so when the new momma is up to it!

Family:

Family sessions are very simple if you cordinate similar colors...You don't have to match! It's most important to stay in the same color scheme but not exactly alike. Colors can still be bright, just consider using one pattern and then coordinate some solids from that pattern. I don't mind to help you choose the best clothing for your session and give you ideas of fun places to shop if you want the trendier look. Often the best photos come when attire is not planned! It's important to not stress and just have fun!

Seniors:

Come ready to have tons of fun! Bring several outfits of your choice! Show your true colors with scarfs, hats, belts, shoes...anything trendy! Bring lots of accessories....Think Fashion & Bold Colors! Choose clothing that reflects YOUR personality! Afterall, you are only a senior once! Have attire organized and hanging together...keep in mind most senior sessions are on location with no where to change...Also, be thinking of a grungy or cool location for your session! Let's be unique!
